Be Still and Know: Valentine’s Day Flower Bouquets in Cincinnati
Final Touches of Prep
With this three-month preparation for Valentine’s Day Flower Bouquets in Cincinnati coming to an end, there is a feeling of stillness looming about.
There are tons of empty baskets filled across the prep tables. There are clear and shiny vases lining the shelves and every corner.
It is our hope that on Saturday, February 7, 2026, the wicker baskets will be filled with daisies, roses and baby’s breath when people order “Southern Bella Bountiful Blooms.” Whereas, the white princess baskets will host stretching yellow sunflowers, blue delphiniums, and hot pink roses from Ecuador when someone chooses “Garden Girl.” On the other hand, vases are sure to transform when filled with clear waters, and fresh cut stems with their crowning-colored blooms.
We are particularly excited to see them carry our “Multi-Colored Dozen Roses” or “Rositas.”
With so many vases, ribbons, lights and hope, there is also a “knowing” looming about the studio, that everything will go, just how it should.
First Sparks of Life
With a few phone inquiries, walk-in’s and humble pre-orders for birthdays or funerals, the shop is quiet, and still. In its stillness, it is patient. In the quiet, it is knowing that the time will come when all of its vessels will gain new meanings, news spaces, and new purposes. In the waiting, it smiles ear to ear knowing that its colorful papers, twinkly lights, balloons, boxes and bears will travel as symbols of love; as tokens of affections; and objects of admiration and affirmation.
Silence Paves the Way for Mindful Arranging
Growing up, I remember a verse, or perhaps, a song that said, “Be still and know that I am God.” This verse reflects our belief that consistent preparation and knowledge building unearths the path to “stillness.”
This stillness leads to the confident knowing that we have done our best to ensure fresh flowers, floral expressions that are mindful, and customer service that is kind.
That same stillness and knowing, so integral to faith in God, helps me makes peace with the silence, as a I await a phone to ring, a tablet to ding, and my heart to sing.
From Second Guessing to Knowing
When I first started this shop 5 years ago, I was so flighty; always second guessing, always in movement. But, with all the movement, I had our team going in too many directions to get anywhere.
This led to anxiety instead of peace. It took many arrangements and much to arrange with confidence, tranquility, and care.
Fortunately, and with much time, our brand has found its north star though the elevation of what we sell, how we sell, and the ways we promote.
Green Ivy Under a Blanket of White Snow
In the stillness and knowing, also comes the time to breath and enjoy the slow, cold, and icy days, using them to learn new techniques and arrange with different styles and local materials.
For instance, yesterday, a customer said he was coming to the shop. It was then that I realized the path was so full of snow. I ran to shovel. As I did, I noticed some green under the snow. Come to find out, it was a perfectly preserved trail of vine.
I cut it down and brought it to the shop. I, then, shaped it into hearts in an oversized vase. Next, I added a few very blossomed red carnations. After staring a bit, I thought, isn’t that love; bunches of intertwined vines with a few moments of passion, with a few hearts that connect.
If I ever dared to sell this arrangement, I would call it “Vine Streets” because our shop is located on Vine St and ivy is a vine that can withstand all Ohio weather throws at us. It also has the ability to climb any height or traverse any valley.
Hmmm. A flower shop on Vine Street where beautiful foliage grows year-round only affirms my knowing that All the People Poetic is here to stay if God wills us too.

Vine Streets
On Saturday, we will officially open for Valentine’s week, selling Valentine’s Day flower bouquets in Cincinnati. And in our stillness, we KNOW that you will be pleased.
With all our love, All The People
